British artist currently working in Swansea, originally from Manchester. Recent graduate of Swansea College of Arts, holding a 1st class honours in Fine Art.
Tudor’s paintings all stem from an interest in British Pub culture, utilising still life paintings as a way to form narratives around British cultural issues and values. Even the figure is treated as a compositional and symbolic structure to explore the different values and beliefs of the British populace. Often employing tight, zoomed in compositions and saturated palettes as a way of commodifying and appropriating the aesthetic of the Pub. In doing so Tudor hopes to both celebrate British culture but also bring to the forefront the problematic values still held by many.
